Central to Thierry De Cordier's work are humans: their loneliness, their limitations, and their hope for answers. One could view his work as a philosophy, but expressed in images. His thinking aligns with the absurdism of Albert Camus: the senseless search for meaning in an incomprehensible universe. On a white surface, De Cordier writes ‘je ne suis rien rien rien’ [I am nothing nothing nothing], ‘written’ by perforating the surface – written with ‘nothing’.
